In the history of rock music, it's hard to find a band that migrates so naturally between psychedelic songs like Caterpillar to alt-rock hits like Just Like Heaven, passing through songs with post-punk notes like A Forest or with a touch of pop like Friday I’m in Love. The Cure is, simply put, The Cure: recognizable from the first guitar chords of each song and unique through their career in which they discreetly greeted awards or chart successes, without paying too much attention to them.

Since their founding in 1978, The Cure have oscillated between very prolific periods, to a break of almost 16 years between albums. Currently, their discography includes 14 albums, the most recent of which, Songs Of A Lost World, is on the list of all critics in terms of superlatives from 2024. In a moment of rapid consumption and summer hits, The Cure chose to return with complex, long songs, with lyrics close to pure poetry. A material thought for fans had an unexpected result: it was the new generation that discovered them, thanks also to young stars such as Yungblud, Olivia Rodrigo or Gracie Abrams who declared their admiration for the "veterans" who, since 2019, are included in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

"We are not trendy. We are permanent." - one of the most repeated statements of Robert Smith, the leader of The Cure, summarizes, with British humor, the status of a band that will continue to gather new fans at each live performance. Including in July 2026, at Electric Castle.

About the fans at Electric Castle, Twenty One Pilots already know everything: they create a super atmosphere, sing from the first minute and dance until the last encore. Exactly as it happened in 2022, when the band was for the first time at Bonțida, and the echoes of the show are still strong. twenty one pilots have evolved from an indie project to the status of global superstars, relying on a very fluid style, which combines alternative rock, hip-hop and pop. They were the first band in history to have all the songs from two albums (Blurryface and Vessel) certified RIAA Gold, a Gusiness record. Grammy Awards, AMAs, MTV, 12 No. 1 songs in the Alternative Airplay chart - the band's biography is so full that it's easy to believe that the American duo has set a recipe for success. Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun continue, however, to experiment and transform their musical story. Since their concert at Electric Castle, they have released 2 new albums, Clancy (2024) and Breach (2025). If the music sounds different from the first materials in their career, the lyrics, however, remain just as personal, proving that, in 2025, rock stars can be sensitive and vulnerable, even if they sell 65,000 tickets to a single concert. Because, it couldn't be otherwise, twenty one pilots have managed another new record to put in their CV.

The twenty one pilots concert at Bonțida will be one of the last ones held by the band in Europe, before moving their tour to other continents, until 2029.

Bánffy Castle

Bánffy Castle, built in the 15th century, has hosted Electric Castle since 2013. Each year, a portion of the festival's revenue is directed towards its restoration.

Together with the local authorities, we invest annually in the castle and the local infrastructure, bringing new job opportunities and economic development for the local community. After the successful restoration of the castle roof and the replacement of the windows, our attention is now turning to the consolidation of the interior structure.
