„MY BELOVED EMINESCU” – Multimedia tribute show with Romanian-Canadian actress Claudia Motea at Sala Dalles - Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 19:00

Tuesday, January 13, 2026, starting at 19:00, Sala Dalles (Bd. Nicolae Bălcescu no. 18) will host the multimedia tribute show „My Beloved Eminescu”, a profound and moving artistic creation dedicated to the legendary love between Mihai Eminescu and Veronica Micle, interpreted with sensitivity and strength by Romanian-Canadian actress Claudia Motea. The show returns at the beginning of the year as a celebration of the national poet and in response to the outstanding success it had with the audience in previous performances.

The audience is invited to enter the intimacy of one of the most disturbing love stories in Romanian culture, an intense and impossible love, which inspired some of the most beautiful pages of our literature. The show brings to the forefront the voice of Veronica Micle, the poet and woman who lived alongside Eminescu an incandescent passion, transformed into a legend. Through Claudia Motea's interpretation, Veronica becomes confession, testimony and pure emotion, and Eminescu reveals himself as a living, vulnerable man, capable of loves that still burn in our cultural memory today.

The action takes place in Văratec, 50 days after the passing into eternity of the „Beloved Eminescu”, at the moment when Veronica is preparing to fulfill her supreme promise. The atmosphere is built poetically, through fragments from their work and correspondence, in a staging that combines theater with image, music and soul vibration, creating an intense and profound scenic universe.

The show bears the dramaturgical signature of Radu Aldulescu, the direction and musical selection belong to Alina Hiristea, and the visual framework is created by Ciprian Duică. The event is produced by the Mihai Eminescu Cultural Center, in partnership with International Artiscan, Creator / Libris Publishing House, the Union of Professional Journalists of Romania, PROXIM Theater and the publication Ultima Oră. The duration of the performance is 70 minutes.

The evening will also include the presentation of the volume „EMINESCU, beyond time” (Ed. Creator), a lyrical-reflexive anthology created by Claudia Motea after the Eminescian work, followed by an autograph session and an open dialogue with the audience.
