A gala evening dedicated to the memory of one of the most important creators of Romanian ballet – maestro Oleg Danovski, 30 years after his passing.
On November 7, 2026, at the Constanța Trade Union House of Culture, the public is invited to re-watch one of the most beloved masterpieces of universal classical ballet – “Swan Lake”, with the brilliant music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, performed by the Ballet Ensemble of the Bucharest National Opera.
The show bears the unmistakable mark of the great choreographer Oleg Danovski, nicknamed "The Swan Conductor", the artist who laid the foundations of the Constanța ballet theater and took Romanian ballet to the world's great stages.

In 1978, with the establishment of the Classical and Contemporary Ballet Ensemble in Constanța, Oleg Danovski included "Swan Lake" in his famous Tchaikovskian trilogy alongside "The Sleeping Beauty" and "The Nutcracker". This creation was to become one of the defining works of his artistic vision.
Three decades after the master's departure, Oleg Danovski's swans symbolically return home, to Constanța, in a show that celebrates the artistic legacy of the one who made Romanian ballet a respected name on the international stage.
A story about love, sacrifice, destiny, and the struggle between good and evil, "Swan Lake" remains one of the most moving creations in the universal ballet repertoire.
